This is the title page of a small anthology of guitar pieces by a man whose name I have never heard before: Karl F. Mauer. I have no idea who he was, except that he must have lived in the US in the 1930s, either in New York or in Chicago.
I came into possession of this manuscript anthology (printed in blue line printing (Ozalid), which means that there must be some more copies of it someplace. yes. There is a copy of the same in the IGRA collection), several years ago when I bought the collection of the late Walter Spaulding.
What we have here is a collection of some of the best 20th century guitar music I have had the good fortune to come across. I sure would like to make it known to others. The man must have passed away a long time ago, and the music, having been published in 1937, must be still under copyright protection.

Del compositore si sa ben poco. E’ nato il il 10 Maggio del 1894 ed è morto il 15 Novembre del 1980. L’ultima residenza conosciuta è Forest Hills, Queens County, NY (New York) 11375.
