Juan Calderon, ten studies for guitar

1. Gitarrenmarsch
2. Slur Study No. 1
3. F Minor Prelude No. 3
4. Chromatic Dialogue Study
5. Unresolved Suspensions
6. Hammers (Slur Study No. 3)
7. Waltz in C (Pasillo, Slur Study No. 2)
8. Picardy Air
9. Left Hand Extension Study in Eb
10. Snow Watch

“The following pieces were written during the years 2016 and 2017 for friends, my own amusement, and to further develop my technique while expanding the literature on the subject. Some of them are a response to the Sor etudes which I have been studying for a while.  Others are inspired by historical periods I have an affinity for, like the Renaissance. Among them you will find a great variety of stylistic traits from different historical eras. The fact that some of them are studies is quite by accident.”
