Dalla presentazione:

“Il flauto nel bosco” (“The Flute in the Wood”), it’s a homage to the guitarist Cristiano Porqueddu, inspired by a short story from the Sardinian Nobel prize winner Grazia Deledda.
The atmosphere of the piece relies on archaic elements, used to evoke some very particular feeling that touched me when I visited this wild and mysterious Sardinian landscape for a couple of concerts held in the town of Nuoro. The composition is structured in three movements seamlessly linked together. The composer made use of some ancient techniques too, like the so-called Landini’s Cadenza, rethought and applied in a different harmonic contest, to suggest those ancient landscape elements. The work, in its entirety, would love to suggest to the musician and then to the listener an idea of a puzzling journey through a mythical land.

La composizione è scritta nell’ambito della manifestazione internazionale Sardinia_Moving_Arts finanziata dalla Comunità Europea e dalla Regione Autonoma della Sardegna.
