Born 1947 in Paris, Jean-Yves Bosseur studied composition at the Rheinische Musikschule in Cologne, Germany, with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Henri Pousseur. He obtained a Doctorate in Philosophy of Art at the University of Paris I. At present he is Director of Research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. Jean-Yves Bosseur was awarded prizes at the Royaumont Foundation competition, France, and the Gaudeamus Foundation competition, Netherlands. He also wrote several works for television and is author of various books. Jean-Yves Bosseur is Co-founder of Groupe Intervalles.
