Composer, born in Hermannstadt (Siebenbürgen, today: Sibiu), died in Munich (Bavaria/Germany). Since 1964 he studied composition with Sigismund Toduta at the conservatory in Klausenburg/Cluj (Siebenbürgen). 1969 he settled down in Germany and taught since 1972 composition at the Musikhochschule München (professor since 1976).
