Composer, born in Steinau (Kreis Neustadt/Upper Silesia, today: Scinawa Mala/Poland). Since 1941 he studied with Kurt von Wolfurt and Wilhelm Thiele at the Musikhochschule in Berlin. He worked as music editor at the broadcasting station NDR in Hamburg. He composed works for orchestra and chamber music. (Rainer Stelle)
