Pavao Bacic (1921-1984) guitarist and lute player, pedagogue and music writer, was born in Vojvodina. He studied music in Zagreb (Croatia), where he spent some years actively teaching and playing in various ensembles. His first compositions were made in 1948, and many of these works Bacic published in his own editions. His last years of professional activity he spent teaching in the city of Subotica (Serbia) and performing as a member of Subotica Trio and Ensemble for antique music.
