Guitarist, composer and pedagogue, born in Madrid. He began studying guitar with Quentin Esquembre in 1944, later he studied composition at the Concervatory of Madrid and the university of Munich. 1972-1994 he was guitar teacher at the university of Munich. In 1994 he returned to Spain. Together with the pedagogue Max Bruckbauer he founded in 1969 the publishing house „Biblioteca de la Guitarra”. In 1987 Navascués‘ pupil Richrad Kleinmaier replaced Bruckbauer and they renamed the publishing house in „Edition Santiago Navascués”. (Rainer Stelle)
