The composer was trained as a pianist in Santander and Bilbao, he started studying composition with Miguel A. Samperio and gratuated in orchestral conducting in Madrid under A. García Abril, R. Alís and F. García Nieto. He practises jazz music and has played with prestigiuos performers such as Horacio Icasto, Lou Benet, Carlos Carly, René Thomas, etc. He is teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music “Jesús de Monasterio” in Santander, an activity which he combines with composing.
