José Beato was born in Lisbon. He studied Classical Guitar, Vocal Technique, Choral Direction and has a degree in Composition at ESML (Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa). As a Composer and Musician he participated in works for Ballet, Theatre, Television, and Musical Performances. Some of his works have been recorded in Portugal. He is the Director of the on-line publisher “Tirando Editions”, devoted mainly to the classical guitar repertoire.
