Bert Poulheim is a student of Ruth Zechlin. In 1977 his first work was premiered in the Club of Cultural Creatives in Berlin. In 1979 he was awarded the Hanns Eisler Prize. 1987 was the premiere of the Musical Comedy „Zug um Zug” (text: Hansjörg Schneider) in the theatre Zeitz. In 2007, the Bert Poulheim & Marion Violet Foundation was founded. (Rainer Stelle)
