Born in Romania, 1929 and settled in Israel in 1961. Studied composition at the “Ciprian Porumbescu” conservatory of Bucharest with Ion Dumitrescu and Alfred Mendelsohn. Played violin in the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and taught violin. Bruno composed a series of solo works for each instrument of the orchestra. In 1967 he studied in Koln, Germany with Alois Zimmermann. Upon his return to Israel he founded OR-TAV Music Publications, which grew over the years into a center for publication and distribution of Israeli music. He has retired in 1993 and is dedicating his time to composition.
