Giles Swayne (born June 30, 1946) is a British composer.
Swayne is a cousin of Elizabeth Maconchy. He spent much of his childhood in Liverpool, and began composing at a young age. He later studied with Alan Bush and Olivier Messiaen. In 1990, he moved to Ghana, returning to Britain in 1996 in personally painful times chronicled in his autobiography.
