Wilhelm Bruck è un chitarrista classico e docente tedesco nato nel 1943. All'interno del panorama musicale internazionale è celebre come figura pionieristica ed esponente di spicco della musica contemporanea e del teatro musicale d'avanguardia. Ha compiuto gli studi musicali in Germania, perfezionandosi nella letteratura del Novecento e avviando una storica collaborazione artistica con il chitarrista Theodor Ross, insieme al quale ha formato il celebre Duo Bruck-Ross. Legato da un profondo sodalizio professionale con il leggendario compositore Mauricio Kagel, Bruck è passato alla storia per aver eseguito in prima assoluta e registrato opere monumentali scritte appositamente per lui, tra cui spiccano i brani "Tactil" e "Mare Nostrum". Noto per il suo approccio multimediale e per l'utilizzo di tecniche estese e chitarre preparate, si è esibito nei più prestigiosi festival di nuova musica in Europa e in America. Within the international music scene, he is highly celebrated as a pioneering figure and leading exponent of contemporary literature and avant-garde music theatre. He completed his musical training in Germany, specializing in twentieth-century repertoire and launching a historic artistic partnership with guitarist Theodor Ross, with whom he formed the acclaimed Bruck-Ross Duo. Closely associated with the legendary composer Mauricio Kagel, Bruck made history by premiering and recording monumental avant-garde scores written specifically for him, most notably Kagel's "Tactil" and "Mare Nostrum."
