Tolkien Gesture by Alan Mearns

Yesterday I read for the first time ‘Tolkien gesture‘ by Alan Mearns, an Irish composer.
The work, a suite consisting of independent movements with no thematic connection, is divided into:

Mirkwood Forest (dark, mysterious)
Queen Galadriel (luminous, harp like)
Treebeard (slow, cumbersome)
Wraiths (menacing, agitated)
Gandalf escapes on the Great Eagle (ad libitum)
Dance of Rivendell (lively, mischievous)

The work is published by MelBay
